Meet your teachers Nichole + Jeanine:

Nichole Anne Ferro is a Psycho-Somatic Trauma Recovery Coach, Somatic

Educator, Breathwork Facilitator/Educator, Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher Educator, Womb Medicine Women, and Ceremonialist.

She has been in the Healing Arts industry for 15 years and is devoted to

various practices of holistic healing. Nichole has over 3,000 training hours in trauma-informed; yoga, breathwork, somatic therapy, and nervous system recovery, and has over 10,000 teaching hours.

Nichole completed the year-long graduate-level program Compassionate Inquiry with Dr. Gabor Mate, 3 months certification from the School for Shamanic Arts, year-long program with Melanie Swan to become a certified Womb Medicine Woman, 50hr Somatic Psychedelic Facilitator certification through the Embody Lab with teachers such as Dr, Richard Schwartz, Dr. Peter Levine and more, and a year-long Somatic Educator certification through the Somatic Institute for women with David Bedrick, Dr. Saida Desilets, and more.

Through years of study and practice, Nichole has learned firsthand that the healing process is not linear but more like a spiral that contracts and expands. She believes surrendering to the spiral process of birth, growth, death, and rebirth is crucial to deeply understanding Self. She firmly believes we hold ancient wisdom within that is designed to heal old wounds and broken patterns that are holding us back from reaching our fullest potential.

Nichole is the Founder of Somatic Arts Academy. The Somatic Arts Academy is a school that offers certifications in various holistic and trauma-informed healing modalities. It was founded on the belief in the transformative power of the body-mind connection while profoundly normalizing the human landscape. The academy is a sanctuary for those seeking to explore the rich terrain of somatic arts facilitation, where the body becomes a canvas for creative expression, self-discovery, and holistic well-being - and you become the guide to support people’s transformation.

Nichole has developed the Embodied Breathwork Certification, and Guided Visionary Meditation Certification, and co-created the Somatic Arts Facilitator Certification with Jeanine Talento, for both in-person and online programs.

She is dedicated to helping others reclaim their body, mind, and spirit, and specializes in supporting others in reclaiming their authentic nature, reconnect with themselves, and create a life they love living.

Jeanine Talento, E-RYT 500, is a Trauma-Informed Educator, Yoga Teacher Trainer, Somatic Arts Facilitator & passionate writer. Jeanine believes in the power of healing through reclaiming the body as the central space through which we experience life. Jeanine believes that through nervous system education and embracing vulnerability, individuals can learn to revere and celebrate all parts of who they are, thus living more full and vibrant lives.

An outspoken and unconventional facilitator of 1:1 mentorships, Yoga Teacher Trainings, Somatic Facilitation courses, Retreats & Women’s circles, Jeanine brings a light hearted approach to Trauma-Informed work that normalizes and releases shame around the difficulties of being human. A firm believer that healing requires a sense of humor, Jeanine loves to infuse her lectures and trainings with the opportunity to reclaim joy, playfulness, and laughter. The foundation of Jeanine’s work is that liberation from trauma requires a collaboration of compassionate inquiry, somatic curiosity, releasing shame, and recognizing our limiting core beliefs. The mission of all Trauma-Informed endeavors is to create a safe space where folks can explore their inner landscape with patience and permission.

Jeanine’s yoga journey began in 2006 in New York City as a way to seek relief from mental health struggles including anxiety, OCD, and insomnia. Little did she know, the same perceived suffering that brought her to Yoga would be exactly what she alchemized into her power, purpose, and personalized offerings. Jeanine uses a multidisciplinary approach to body-based interventions that gradually guide her clients to orient towards feelings of safety and regulation within their physical form. Her work is invigorated by and founded on the belief that:

Soma is Spirit & your embodiment is your art.

In other words, the precious and nuanced journey back home to the body is a spiritual endeavor that opens us up to a life of more meaning, expression, and connection.

A long time student of Psychology, Jeanine is adamant about the intersection of Yoga and Trauma-Informed principles. She received her B.S in Psychology and Communications in 2013 from CUNY Queens College and has 3000+ hours of Trauma-Informed Training. Jeanine weaves the powerful topics of Yoga for Mental Health, Addiction, and Trauma into YTT curriculum in a way that is accessible, inclusive, and allows for integration.

Jeanine is committed to her on-going development as a teacher, space holder, and human being. Jeanine completed the year long graduate level program Compassionate Inquiry with Dr. Gabor Mate, six-month Introduction to Internal Family Systems with Dick Schwartz, a year-long Certificate in Contemplative Psychotherapy at the Nalanda Institute, and an Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy Certificate through The Embody Lab.
